Second scoop for Go Car Finance at industry awards
Go Car Finance bagged two honours at the 2019 Crediting Excellence Awards, presented by the Financial Services Federation (FSF).
We matched our haul from 2018 at the most recent award ceremony, held on 16 October at Auckland’s Grand Millennium with a gala dinner following the federation’s annual conference. Fresh thinking when it comes to consumer finance and an ability to “walk the talk” with responsible lending were common themes among all the award winners – areas that are strategic priorities for us at Go Car Finance.
Yazid Sheik, Go Car Finance’s Team Leader for Dealer Solutions, won the Autosure New Finance Professional Award for his examples of sensitivity and initiative in dealing with customers with vulnerabilities. This was a well-deserved public recognition of Yazid’s commitment to the Go Car Finance value of wraparound service and support.
Our other winner was Customer Experience Manager Simon Gormley, who took out the Centrix Outstanding Support Person Award. Simon joined Go Car Finance after graduating with a Bachelor of Design – a degree not normally associated with financial services, but very much focused on how people interact with products and services.
The judges noted Simon’s innovative approach to the finance industry. “His ideas are fresh, and he’s the sort of person the industry and New Zealand needs to think outside of the box like no one else in this category,” the judges said.
As well as the two winners, four other Go Car Finance team members were finalists across a range of awards: Alicia Jauhari, KK Lai, Petr Belotckii and Sarah Heffer. We take pride in hiring exceptional people, and this recognition confirms their commitment to our ethics and values.
